I was drawn to plants from an early age. I spent 25 years in various aspects of horticulture across Europe, until personal injury led me into a career in herbal medicine which had also been a passion as far back as I remember. My great grandmother was a traditional herbalist in Belfast and I have been using herbs for many years, in fact I first considered training in 1986. Simply put herbs are not just a system of healing, they are a way of life and the closer our integration with this natural phenomena, the more balanced our world could be. That is a simple fact and central to my role in the IRH.
