News & Events
The IRH are committed to Education and Development to both Holistic Healthcare Professionals and the General Public.
This page is broken into two main parts. The first part is a detailed list of Upcoming Events organised by the IRH. The second part lists short snippets of News and Events organised by other organisations or bodies that are relevant to the advancement of Holistic Medicine or Herbal Medicine specifically.
It is important to recognize that each Event will be open to different audiences so please be aware of this before you apply. The reason for making this clear is very important. The last thing we want is for someone to pay over their hard earned money for an Event that is either too advanced for their current level of understanding or too basic. This way we can try and ensure that everyone that attends will have a positive experience and will go away feeling satisfied. Even so we can’t give total assurances that you will always be 100% satisfied even when the Event is on your level of comprehension because everyone’s experience is total unique. Of course the Target Audience is only a marker and if you still feel that the weekend will be of a benefit to you then please by all means please attend. But please be aware that if for instance the level is more advanced asking loads of basic questions will slow down or lessen the experience for everyone else.
An explanation of the specific Target Audiences are as follows:
- Herbalist ~ This means that the courses will be at an advanced level and is open to qualified Herbalist or Students in the final years of study. This can also be opened to other Holistic Healthcare Professionals especially those that have knowledge and exposure to Herbal Medicine. Not opened to the General Public.
- Holistic Healthcare Professional ~ Opened to all Professionals and Students of Holistic medicine. The Detail of the Event will help you decide whether it would be something you would be interested in. This is still at a too much an advanced level for the General Public.
- General Public ~ This is opened to anyone – including both groups above ~ who have an interest in the subject matter. See the Detail for further information.
Remember, all of these events are run to cover the cost of the event and some money – depending on size and attendance of the Event – will be credited to help support the IRH in their goals to promote, advance and exposure Herbal Medicine within the Island of Ireland.
Deposits and Booking
When booking an event you will be ask to pay at least the deposit (depending how close to the event you are booking) that is not refundable and the rest made payable generally 2 weeks prior to the event. The deposit is generally 20%-30%. If you are unable to attend the event note that we require at least 72 hours cancellation in which case you will receive your money back minus the deposit. If however you cancel less than 72 hours to the Event you will forfeit all of your money – due to the unlikelihood that you place will be filled. If however we do manage to fill your place in that time then you will receive your money back minus the deposit.
